I Overspent on the Holidays
Dec 16, 2022It happens every year to millions of people. You enjoyed the Holidays, had a great time going to parties, events, out to eat, buying gifts, and then when the dust settles in the first week of January, that dreaded day comes. Yes, the worst day of the year by far! The day all hope, joy, and happiness gets sucked out of your whole body. It's Credit Card bill day.
Your reaction is basically the same as the day you checked your final exam score that time you didn't study at all and knew you bombed the test, which would cause you to fail the class.
But this year will be different. This year, I'm going to give you a plan (and a resource) so you never have to feel like this again.
If you've gotten yourself into credit card debt, there are a few steps you can take to combat this situation:
- Fight the guilt and shame - you aren't a bad person, you just got into a pickle and the only way you can get out is to avoid the guilt and shame that comes through making mistakes
- Cut up and throw away your cards - I know this is a tough one, but to get the best results, you have to be willing to make some sacrifices and remove any barriers that may come between you and the desired result
- Create a plan - if you don't change anything, you'll be right back here again next year. So take a few minutes to be intentional and create a plan to avoid this feeling next year. We can show you how.
You can do this by getting informed, having accountability, and deciding to change. We can help, and have a special gift for you.
