Description of Part 1: Anticipation and Intentionality
I recorded this video in September and I already brought up the dreaded thought of needing to think about Christmas and the Holiday season! I am a big fan of the holidays and it's so sad to know knowing many (if not most) people are stressed out about this season each year. There is a lot to do, there are lots of plans and commitments, but there is a way to reduce this stress. That is why I start talking about this in September. We need to anticipate our future as much as possible.
Now I realize as I get older, I'm not really in control of as much as I think I am. In fact, there is very little I can control, but the few things I can control are up to me. If I can anticipate my schedule, my money, my time, my commitments, my feelings...then I'll be able to handle them easier than if I didn't think about it until the stress is already upon me.
I believe the holidays can be a time of peace and relishing instead of stress and pressure. Anticipation and Intentionality are the 2 keys to reduce and possibly eliminate stress in our lives.
